More About Low Vision Clinic

The hospital has a fully equipped clinic which provides detailed low vision assessments and provision of low vision aids such as magnifiers and telescopes as and when needed.
The clinic also explains the need of having eye examinations done regularly to catch any further deterioration sooner rather than later as well as emphasize on the importance of eye examinations of family members as most of these conditions are genetic.Basic rehabilitation services are also provided. This deals with how to make best use of the remaining vision and how to go about daily life tasks such as walking, reading, showering, cooking and so on. Students are taught on how to position themselves in the class room to be able to see the black/white board to their optimum levels as well as read close up comfortably. Teachers are also educated on the needs of the low vision student and how to best help them in the classroom and school situation.

It is our aim to expand on our rehabilitation services and provide even more detailed social care and assistance on daily habitual life tasks.
